Description
The Enterprise Data Office is looking for a Data Engineer with a winning track record in building high performing data and analytical solutions that transform, integrate and meet various functional and data demands from business.
Our Data Engineer will be responsible for building end-to-end technical solutions which involves design, build, test and support of web applications, APIs and batch processes utilizing Microsoft platforms and tools.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Design and implement web pages and controls with complex functionality. Design, develop and maintain APIs.
* Design and develop the underlying database objects, data models, functions and stored procedures. Analyze the effects of database changes on data quality, application performance, and interfaces with external systems.
* Collaborate with cross functional team members as necessary and come up with optimal solutions that meet business requirements.
* Facilitate meetings with business and technology stakeholders as well as vendors to achieve support/project objectives.
* Execute unit tests, validate expected result and ensure data quality and accuracy. Coordinate with business users for User Acceptance Testing and with Operations team for code deployment to upper environments.
* Follow change management team stipulations on path to production requirements and strictly adhere to the compliance and regulatory needs.
* Provide application support for several EDO applications and batch processes. Maintain application schedules and batch processes so that batch cycles run efficiently.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
* Proven track record in converting written documentation into high-quality functional code
* Expert in ASP.NET (Web Forms and MVC), Javascript, JQuery, HTML, REST API and T-SQL
* Proficiency in Web service/API integration
* Strong experience with complex financial or risk management business rule analysis and implementation
Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and 5+ years of related work experience

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
