The Global Information Security (GIS) group provides services and solutions to protect the value and use of Disneys information through risk evaluation, collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and education across the enterprise. We protect the brand and reputation while enabling and supporting business objectives. GIS teams are located in Seattle, Santa Monica, Bristol, Burbank, NYC and Orlando.

Our Application Security team is seeking an Application Security Engineer who will be an outstanding addition to our department. As a part of the GIS team, you will ensure the proper security posture for Hulu's and Disney Streaming Service's internal and external applications by serving as the interface between Development and Security Teams. Responsibilities:

* Work on business facing initiatives to determine appropriate security controls are in place.
* Advice and consult with business partners how to overcome security gaps.
* Engage with developers to provide remediation support
* Assist with code reviews and develop secure libraries
* Perform security reviews of new services and features
* Perform web application penetration testing

Basic Qualifications:

* 3+ years of direct application security experience
* 2+ years of development experience with Python, Java, JavaScript (Node/React), and/or Go
* Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
* Knowledge of CI/CD, JIRA
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with AWS or other cloud environments (development/architecture)
* Understanding beyond the OWASP Top 10 by explaining the level of risk to the business.

Required Education

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field
