Job Description

Creates, validates, tests, documents, implements, and/or oversees usage of complex statistical models. The models may cover a variety of products or services, however, all models are used as part of the financial decision making process. Specific results focus on documenting the creation and/or testing of advanced statistical models and communicating such models to stakeholders within the Bank. Deliverables include the creation of model development and/or validation documentation such as: presentations, written reports, model or reporting code documentation, business requirements, monitoring reports and related code, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, and five to eight years of experience in statistical modeling OR
- Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field, and less than five years of experience in statistical modeling

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Familiar with OCC-2011-12, SR19-3 and advanced understanding of other Model Risk Regulations, applicable laws, and regulatory trends that affect assigned line of business
- Proficiency with R, Python, SAS and SQL programming languages, with knowledge of related data analysis libraries.
- Extensive knowledge of various regression techniques, parametric and non-parametric algorithms, times series techniques, and other statistical models, various model validation tests/methodologies, using SAS, R, Python, etc.
- Advanced data compilation, programming skills and qualitative analysis skills
- Experience in theory and practice with Machine Learning algorithms to design models related to classification, regression and clustering.
- Desired Experience in theory and practice of Deep Learning modeling, using software tools such as Tensorflow & Keras, Caffe/Caffe2, Pytorch, MXNet, Scikit-Learn and Pytorch.
- Experience in theory and practice with Natural Language Processing methods to analyze documents and other unstructured text data sources.
- Knowledge or experience of the quantitative and qualitative risk factors, industry risks, competition risks, and risk management approaches
- Demonstrated independence, teamwork and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with multiple teams, and strong work ethic
- Work independently to drive results with excellent written and verbal communication skills
