$17.00-$20.00 per hour

PRIMARY DUTIES:

* Set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically sets blades and saws to meet or exceed production targets for output and quality, conforming to ISO 9001
* Read blueprints and job order for product specification such as dimensions & tolerances, tooling instructions such as dies, feed rates and determination of sequence of operations
* Perform adjustments to machine and equipment in line with SOP's
* Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and upkeep on equipment, machinery, tooling and work area (6S System)
* Prepare and maintain any material required in processing each operation
* Properly fill out all documentation, label all packages, skids, racks or containers
* Properly handle all scrap, rework, and mixed product, ensuring all product meets specifications
* Complete O.I.R. (Operator Inspection Report) indicating quality assurance, and communicate progress to incoming operator at shift change
* Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates
* Notify supervisor, maintenance, or quality immediately when a problem occurs with any part of your job, equipment, or product
* Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in other operations and training new associates

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

* Three months experience at Stanley Black & Decker preferred with proven performance in safety, quality, work ethic, attendance, 6S principals, and attitude / teamwork
* High School Diploma or GED preferred; AA degree or equivalent from college or technical school preferred
* Knowledge of basic shop math skills and familiarity with fractional (imperial) & metric based measuring systems, including conversion of inches into metrics
* Proficient in reading & interpreting prints
* Basic mechanical ability; machine set up and operation experience with strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & precision measuring instruments
* Knowledge of SPC and basic computer skills such as machine controls & monitoring, data entry, and Excel spreadsheet input
* Ability to multi-task and learn several different operations
* Ability to work in a physically intense environment / Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
* Flexibility to work overtime
