Gulf Coast Treatment Center is an intensive inpatient psychiatric program for adolescent females, ages 12-18 old. Since 1996, we have been dedicated to providing quality mental health treatment to adolescent females with chronic mental health needs nationwide. Gulf Coast Treatment Center provides comprehensive mental healthcare and education services for at risk female adolescents, families and our community.

We are currently seeking a Recreation Therapist or Recreation Coordinator; this is a full time position working Tuesday through Saturday. Tuesday through Friday is 12pm - 8pm and Saturday hours are 9am - 5pm. The Recreation Coordinator oversees patient activity to include MHT lead groups, planned activities, adherence to daily schedule and patient milieu in support of a therapeutic milieu. The pay range for this position is between $36,000 and $40,000 / year depending upon qualifications, experience, and certification.

Qualifications

* Two years of documented training / experience in recreation or expressive therapies and program experience in providing therapeutic recreation or activities.
* Certification in Recreation Therapy preferred.
* Bachelors degree in an expressive arts therapy preferred; recreation with emphasis in Rehabilitation, Therapeutics, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Physical Education, Art or Fine Arts. Can be substitued with a registered behavior technician with two years' experience as a mental health technician.
* Must be able to pass AHCA level 2 background screen and pre-employment drug screen.
