IBM is seeking an enthusiastic Business/Systems Analyst/Solution Architect to join a DevOps squad in the Finance Systems Organization which manages IBMs Royalty Management Applications. Responsibilities include analyzing business needs, working with IT professionals to translate business requirements into IT solutions, and testing to validate the quality of these solutions. Additionally, you will work with other analysts and assist in coordination of dependencies, management of test schedules, and ensuring quality standards and controls compliance.
The team is currently working remotely but will be located in Southbury CT (post Covid). Candidates are expected to live within 50 miles of Southbury, CT. Will consider relocation for candidates with the right skills/experience.
What youll do:
* Simplify the current application and architecture. Deconstruct the monolithic application into microservices. Communicate and lead modernization concepts across the organization through various methods, including: showcases, whiteboarding, diagramming, design thinking, etc.
* Provide expertise in analysis, requirements gathering, design, coordination, testing and support technical solutions for the IBM Financial System organization
* Have the technical responsibility for the application, including the security of the application and the integrity of the data the application handles
* Develop methodology documents based on self-initiated interviews, diagrams, surveys and workflow analysis
* Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with business and technical members of the team
* Ensure solution is audit ready. During audits, serve as the audit focal and as such manage the relationships between Business, Infrastructure, Audit team, squad, delegates, and focals to respond to audit requests in a timely and accurate manner, with the highest degree of integrity
* Create detailed plans for execution and implementation of new processes and be a visionary for the creation of new IT Systems to support the new business processes
