The Columbia, Missouri delivery service center provides maintenance and monitoring of computer hardware and systems to IBMs business clients in the United States. This Technical Delivery Services Center will primarily support US Strategic outsourcing clients, providing server systems operations, security services, and end user services, including maintenance and monitoring of computer hardware and software systems. IBMs Technical Delivery Services Center is focused on increasing delivery quality and brings together all IBM worldwide service delivery capabilities for Strategic Outsourcing. This position is located onsite in Columbia, MO (candidates must either be in/near Columbia or be willing to self-relocate to the area).

As a member of the Storage team, candidate will be responsible for the Management of Storage and related devices within a Storage Area Network (SAN). Candidate must also possess demonstrated skills with Level-1 and Level-2, Communications skills (written and verbal), customer facing, problem determination skills, and can work well with a group of peers. In addition to Level 1/2, Storage Area Network (SAN) Designer roles are needed. Pager and off shift coverage may be required.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Support problem and change tickets for storage systems support work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to storage devices, data backups, software, applications or network systems. The work consists of performing primarily routine and standardized sets of tasks. The work may involve a series of repeatable tasks and steps that are followed when addressing service needs or situations for a specific account. Team members participate in daily cadence discussion on team performance. These meetings are typically led by the primary pool manager or Dispatcher. They discuss issues or challenges and receive trouble-shooting input /advice from other team members. They may also discuss team performance trends. Primary pool team members may also separately interact and exchange information with members of cross-pool teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* At least 3 years experience in Storage Area Network management such as: switches, IBM storage products, EMC, HP, Network Attached Storage (NAS), plus project coordination
* At least 1 year experience in one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
* Basic knowledge in Agile methodologies
* Basic knowledge in SAN fundamentals, SAN Fiber Switches, and SAN Storage Devices.
* English: Fluent

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

* Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
* At least 4 years experience in Storage Area Network management such as: switches, IBM storage products, EMC, HP, Network Attached Storage (NAS), plus project coordination
* At least 4 years experience in one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
* Basic knowledge in Maximo tool
* Basic knowledge in McData Fiber Switches, McData EFManager Graphical User Interface (GUI), Brocade Fiber Switches, Brocades GUI interface
* Basic knowledge in IBM Enterprise Storage Service (ESS) Shark, IBM ESS Specialist, IBM FastT Storage. EMC Storage (Symmetrix, Clariion), Device Command Line Interface (CLI), System Admin AIX, Unix, and Windows skills.
* Basic knowledge in CISCO fiber switches, CISCOs GUI interface, IBM DS8000, IBM TotalStorage DS8000 Storage Manager.
