Facebook is seeking to fill the position of Director, Benefits Strategy & Employee Engagement. The successful candidate will be a thought leader with a proven record overseeing multiple areas of benefits including health and welfare, retirement and/or time away. The Director will primarily focus on upstream initiatives that span across all areas of benefits with specialty focus on mergers & acquisitions, employee engagement and the promotion of well-being programs. The role will maintain a critical connection to Facebooks GMS, Tech and Business functions to ensure the companys benefit programs meet the needs of existing and emerging workforce dynamics including remote work. In addition, the role will also oversee financial well-being programs including the companys 401(k). Reporting to the VP of Global Benefits, this is a high impact role that is expected to work closely with functional benefit leaders, cross functional leaders and from time to time, company leadership. In addition to strategic initiatives and in close partnership with communications partners, the Director will play an active role in identifying and developing creative and innovative ways to engage employees through technology and marketing.
Director, Benefits Strategy & Employee Engagement Responsibilities
* Drive strategic thought leadership and employee engagement strategies by collaborating heavily with functional benefit leaders, cross functional partners and business segment leaders
* Using market data and people analytics, identify upstream trends to inform global benefit and well-being strategies
* Oversee the companys financial well-being and retirement plan strategy (e.g. 401(k) Plan) including design, compliance and employee engagement
* Oversee M&A due diligence, resource planning and integration activities for the benefits function
* Oversee the development and execution of the Life@ (benefits) employee survey
* Play lead role in formulating internal and external messaging on benefit design, trends and company programs to support internal Communication partners and leaders
* Identify and activate resources to support the evaluation and implementation of strategic priorities for the benefits function
Minimum Qualifications
* 15+ years of experience in benefits consulting, benefit design, strategy and/or administration in large multi-national employer settings. This includes large scale vendor evaluation and selection
* Record of designing and implementing a combination of health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits and/or time away programs. Scale and spend should be 100,000+ employees and $1Billion+ annual respectively
* Demonstrated leadership in strategic thinking and planning that matches emerging market trends in Rewards and employee value proposition
* Leadership experience of wellness or well-being initiatives designed to engage employee segments and/or enterprise workforce
* Experience in evaluating merger & acquisitions, workforce optimizations and scaling employee engagement
* Experience working and collaborating in a cross-functional global environment including business functions and business segments
* Leadership experience aligning visions, goals and resources and delivering results
* Communication experience working closely with internal Communication partners to develop enterprise wide employee engagement programs
* Leadership and technical competency in areas of benefits administration, financial modeling and regulatory compliance
* Demonstrated people skills in helping solve complex system-wide challenges and in building teams who work effectively with each other to provide strategic and operational support
* Bachelors degree
* Demonstrated proficiency in ERISA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
* Global benefits experience
* Experience in Human Resources or Benefits in high technology industry
* Experienced leader that has worked directly with C-suite leaders and/or business segment leadership
