Job Description
Do you want to make an impact on a team and be a healthcare innovator? The Order Entry Supervisor Long Term Care will guide the department to perform daily pharmacy data entry operations to achieve enterprise goals of superior customer service while entering accurate prescription data into the pharmacy system on a timely basis. You will also monitor workflow and production quotas to affect desired outcomes of product delivery on schedule. The Order Entry Supervisor will coordinate all pharmacy order entry functions.
Additional responsibilities include:
Manage the daily prescription order entry process.
Coordinate requirements with third party billing department to confirm prompt and accurate billing is accomplished and procedures are in place to ensure entry information is complete.
Review Medicaid and other third-party pre-bill edit reports for action and timely order entry.
Implement and monitor compliance with policies and procedures to ensure uniform and accurate entry of all information necessary to complete a prescription order.
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
Provide employees with timely, candid, and constructive feedback.
Progress employees to their full potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth.
Develop bench strength and succession planning recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
You must be able to work a schedule of Monday-Friday from 10:00am to 6:30pm Pacific Time. You must also be available to cover different shifts, as needed.
The location for this opportunity is Canoga Park, CA.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Lead role in a Pharmacy environment
Pharmacy Technician License based on the state of California licensing requirements.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications including an intermediate level of familiarity with Excel
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience supervising a high-volume pharmacy data entry department
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
