Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time,Days
No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Accurately assemble instrument trays.
* Sterilize instruments.
* Return sterile instruments to their proper location.
* Stock patient care equipment.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Certification obtained through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required within 1 year of employment
* Able to accurately identify instruments
* Ability to operate Steam Sterilizers
* Ability to operate Washer Disinfector
* Accurately read and document Biological results.
* Properly clean patient care equipment
Job Summary:
The OR Instrument Room Tech is responsible for the decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for the main or, labor and delivery, C-section and all of our offsite clinics. Cleaning and distribution of Patient Care equipment, obtaining and tracking of rental equipment, cleaning and sterilization of all vendor instruments. Communicating with the OR staff to help with instrument turnovers, conflicts etc. Assists the OR staff with patient positioning and transporting.
