The Technology & Engineering Department has an opening for a Senior Scrum Master within the Digital Marketing team. The goal is to help build Albertsons MarTech/AdTech platforms and execute a multi-year roadmap that delivers new and optimized digital marketing advertising solutions. Albertson's Companies is looking for people who are interested in re-imagining the grocery experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies. The Digital Marketing team takes pride in empowering their employees and encouraging initiative and creativity in a very collaborative, agile environment. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Initiates and facilitates project kick-off and inception activities
* Coaches and mentors other Scrum Masters to encourage consistent, core best practices across the teams
* Takes responsibility for managing dependencies between the Scrum teams and third parties, release managers, or between the Scrum teams
* Exhibits desire to continuously learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies from teams and Agile community
* Understands Continuous integration and deployment and exhibits ability to run projects in the Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with multiple outside dependencies and remote project team members
* Effectively communicates with cross functional teams
* May develop and deliver formal presentations and training programs to end users, project teams, management teams and executive management.
* Interacts seamlessly with both business and project teams
* Facilitates discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments
* Reports project progress to executive level stakeholders
* Properly manages shared resources across multiple projects
* Ensures all proper training and user documentation has been implemented
* Has working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery
* Exhibits a desire to continuously improve, and shows a track record of improvement
* Communicates openly and frequently with stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding the state of the project
* Actively contributes to the company's Agile and Lean Community through participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice and Scrum Master Forums

* Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown/burnup metrics, velocity, cycle time and task definition
Qualifications:
* 4-year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional field)
* 8+ years of work as a team member on a scrum project teams
* 3+ years acting as a ScrumMaster in software development environment working with multiple teams
* Must have prior experience in managing Marketing projects preferably Adobe and Google platforms
* Must have understanding with Marketing tools/solutions such as Analytics and Reporting, Campaign Management, CDPs, etc..
* Deep familiarity and understanding of Agile practices, SCRUM, Test Driven Development, XP, & Kanban
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and work with various shared services team like Infrastructure, DevOps and other product engineering teams across domains
* High degree of initiative, purpose and enthusiasm

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. He worked hard, seven days a week, on his vision to build his company, and through his inspiring work ethic and tireless
determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
