ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The automotive market is one of the fastest growing markets for flash products. Western Digital has an immediate opening in our automotive segment marketing team. This key position is responsible for the success of the companys automotive business in North America. As the segment marketing person for the territory, you will work closely with sales and FAEs to win business by positioning our automotive products and their advantages to automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers as well as to meet with customers system architects to understand their future product needs and requirements and feed that back into the company for next generation product development. You will meet with press to launch new products as well as promote the company's industry expertise and products through interviews, white papers and blogs. This role will work closely with sales and FAEs to ensure qualifications go smoothly and remove any barriers to revenue. You will drive resolution internally and ensure proper messaging to customers for any product related issues. Other responsibilities include marketing and product collateral development, sales and customer trainings, tradeshow presentations, and TAM analysis. The role works closely with many organizations such as Program Management, Quality, Legal, Sales, FAEs, Pricing, Corporate Marketing and automotive marketing peers around the globe. A technical background in electrical engineer or program management is advantageous, as this role will require you to be able to discuss and understand product features and how the products work and be able to understand customers systems.

Education: Electrical engineering degree preferred.

Experience: at least 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or electronics with at least 4 years in product marketing or program management.
