POSITION: Engineering Intern

REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager

General Responsibilities:
An Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of skills including basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, integration and systems engineering. In addition, they will provide manufacturing engineering support to the engineering and leadership teams. They will assist with continuous improvement projects and contribute towards and support annual productivity goals.

Duties:

* Support one or more engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.
* Analyzes and collects data for engineering related projects as well as to improve processes.
* Provides support for technical projects relating to new product and process introductions.
* Provides support for cost reduction programs related to process methods and technology.
* Works very closely with the operations team to propagate the principals of Flow and Lean Manufacturing.

Requirements:

* In progress of attaining Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
* Good analytical and problem solving skills, with an emphasis on a hands on approach.
* Strong computer skills
