This position involves the planning, forecasting, and implementation of activities related to the management and control of Western Digital's silicon (NAND) supply chain. The successful candidate will be the primary owner of activities associated with short term supply (NAND) planning with responsibilities on Buckets and secondary coverage on Die mix, and will be an active contributor to initiatives aimed at improving existing processes and tools.
*Allocation Buckets: Analysis and computation of monthly supply buckets (Opportunity after reviewing supply/demand) through C+ 6 months as guidance for demand planning/business units
*Die Mix: Analysis and computation of die mix to decide fab wafer supply for C+3 months and beyond
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Execution of the short-term Supply Bucket process
* Define and optimize efficient NAND consumption strategy
* Support technology transitions, ramps and develop EOL strategies
* Diagnose and resolve complex problems in planning analyses and system tools
* Manage cross-functional relationships and lead multi-functional efforts to resolve planning issues
* Communicate results of analyses, observations, and recommendations to senior management and business teams
* Conceptualize and spearhead initiatives to improve processes and tools
* Track and report metrics around planning and execution excellence
Requirements:
* * Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related field with 2-4 years experience in supply chain planning
* Ability to interface with multiple groups
* Comfort with managing and interpreting large data sets
* Keen understanding of Advanced Planning Systems (APS), i2 preferred
* Excel proficiency
* Ability in problem-solving and analytical thinking
* Good presentation skills
