The Commerce Financials team empowers commerce scenarios across all dimensions of Microsoft including Azure, Office and Gaming for both Consumer and Commercial customers. We build the services that transform commerce activities into revenue - the money Microsoft puts in the bank. We are responsible for ensuring that business groups across Microsoft have a near-real time financial pulse on their in-market offers while simultaneously ensuring that Microsoft's weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements accurately reflect the impact of Commerce. As a member of our team, you will lead the design and development of new high-scale services unlocking a broad range of agile Commerce motions across Microsoft. You will work in partnership across organizations while assisting junior engineers to fast-track scenarios that delight our customers with comprehensive and reliable purchasing, provisioning, and invoicing experiences. You will build an equally diverse skillset including cross-org alignment, strong development tactics across an array of technologies, advanced debugging, performance analysis, and financial domain knowledge that can be applied throughout your career.
5+ years of software development for shipping/production cloud services
5+ years of software development using .NET Core, C, and associated toolsets / frameworks
3+ years of software development using Azure technologies: CosmosDB/Table/Blob, Event Hub, Service Bus, etc
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent industry experience
Experience in operating and maintaining production environments hosted on Microsoft Azure
Knowledge and experience in containers with Kubernetes and software development on Linux
Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to collaborate with partners and deliver work independently
