Senior Demand Planner - Poultry

Job Description

This position is responsible for the creation of future demand forecasts through a combination of market analysis, statistical modeling projections, and collaboration with the entire Planning organization in support of S&OP

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Manage the rolling 27 month item / DC Campus level Demand forecast for complex and highly visible businesses within SAP IBP

* Review and maintain statistical algorithms within SAP IBP, adjusting historical patterns and future projections as needed

* Responsible for maintaining Forecast Accuracy results at the weekly-item level, and supporting related fill rate and distress metrics

* Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand all impacts to the forecast, including promotions, competitive activity, seasonality, retail consumption, customer behavior (pricing/distribution/etc)

* Facilitate monthly Demand meetings with BU Owners, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain partners

* Execute weekly analysis and reporting on Demand performance, providing critical intelligence on business history, trends, and future assumptions

* Act as Demand/S&OP process champion in cross-functional meetings; influencing participants towards process adherence, adoption, and maturity

Qualifications:

* Education: BS or BA degree preferred

* Experience: 5 + years relevant experience

* Familiarity with varying statistical algorithms (Fourier/Multiple Linear Regression/etc) and statistical modeling principles preferred

* Strong computer skills; 90% of computer time will be utilizing SAP IBP

* Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills are necessary

* Strong organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is required

* Experience working with a large national manufacturer / distributor in key supply chain topics like Demand, Inventory, Distribution, and Production is strongly preferred

* Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year
