Job Summary:
The ESPN Sports Betting & Fantasy team is responsible for managing the ongoing content development and integration of sports betting and fantasy. The team is responsible for identifying, launching and executing on opportunities to grow the ESPN betting and fantasy brands, user bases, market share and fan engagement for leading content and product offerings. The team will actively manage key partnerships in sports betting, season long and daily fantasy that drive best- in-class fan experience and advance ESPNs market leadership.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of a team of direct reports and horizontal operational integration of sports betting and fantasy across ESPNs sports content platforms. This position will act as the central point of accountability for existing and new partnerships. The successful candidate will need to manage internal and partner communications, including meetings with cross-functional team key stakeholders across the company. This will include regular updates to newly-formed ESPN Betting Steering Committee. Additional responsibilities include:
* Integrate direction for sports betting and fantasy with responsibility for both small direct SB/F team and wider cross-functional resource alignment and in order to meet key objectives.
* Leading content strategy, development and launch of new betting opportunities
* Direct existing sports betting partnerships
* Maintain ongoing external communications with betting partners to ensure client success
* Work with team to regularly manage internal and external documentation and reporting, and work with ESPN and DMED finance on performance measurement, outstanding obligations, and project timelines
* Identify new areas of opportunity
* Support team to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations

Basic Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in at least one of business strategy, business development, product, or partnerships
* Experience building and managing relationships with senior business leaders, both internally and externally
* Demonstrated experience with project and prioritization management and tools
* Experience working cross-functionally with various teams, managing projects, and delivering results
* Strong internal and external communication abilities, and interpersonal skills
* Comfort with fast-paced environment, changing requirements, ambiguity, and problem solving
* Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and lead through uncertainty
Preferred Qualifications:
* Gaming, betting and/or fantasy sports strategic or operational experience
* An avid consumer of sports media. Proven financial/business analytical skills
* Familiar with the Disney and ESPN IP portfolio and brands
* Understanding of DTC media/sports business
