How will you make an impact?
The QC Sample Control Lead will perform routine lab activities including receiving samples, logging samples in QC LIMs System, storing samples at correct temperature, and shipping samples to contract testing laboratories when needed. In addition, incumbent may also perform laboratory and equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance and calibration and routine inventory. Incumbent will maintain team metrics as required and represent the functional group as required in meetings and investigations. Must complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner. Must follow directions from the supervisor. This position does not include performing QC assays.
What will you do?
* Receive, log in and store all samples submitted to the QC laboratory.
* Coordinate with other departments for sample-related issues.
* Manage samples in LIMS and coordinate with QC systems specialist to ensure all products are entered into LIMs properly
* Prepare submission paperwork and submission samples to contract testing laboratories in coordination with Shipping department.
* Perform laboratory inventories and equipment cleaning.
* Support QC document lifecycle activities
* Follow written standard operating procedures and document any deviations that may occur
* Maintains and ensures safe laboratory environment and work practices
* Maintain metrics on team performance.
* Represent the functional group in project meetings and investigations.
This Role is Wednesday to Saturday First Shift (7 am 2013 5.30 pm). Flexibility and overtime may be required to support project timelines.
How will you get here?
Education/Experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* 1 2013 2 years of experience working in a cGMP environment
Preferred
* Two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent in experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Skilled with electronic information management systems (LIMS, electronic lab notebooks, etc) and electronic organizational skills using Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet or other planning tools
* Ability to communicate/work in a high pressure/high paced environment
* Ability to multi-task and function effectively as a member of a team
* Good attention to detail and ability to adhere to standard procedures
