Raytheon Missile & Defense is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a track record to serve as a Program Operations Manager for the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LW&AD) Manufacturing Program Office (MPO).
This role provides professionals with opportunities to grow their skills in operations management, technical operations, business communications, and leadership. The position will be responsible for coordinating with the Patriot Product Line (PPL), Program Office, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Work Centers, Supply Chain and other Functional Partners to ensure successful on time integration of the material and labor efforts necessary to support manufacturing and contract schedules.
Candidate will be coordinating the production schedules with Operations, Engineering and PPL to ensure the on time delivery for each program. This individual will have daily interaction with other functional leadership in RMD to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. Other focus areas of this position include cost, quality, delivery, safety, and identification/implementation of continuous improvement opportunities that are critical performance criteria for success.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (preferred fields but not limited to: Engineering; Operations; Business, Finance) or equivalent education and work experience
* Minimum of 8 years of experience with Operations Management, Program/Project Management, Manufacturing and/or Engineering
* The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
* General knowledge of Patriot Ground product line.
* Excellent verbal / written communications and interpersonal skills
* Experience working in a Matrix Organization with multiple customers
* Related management experience
* Knowledge of aerospace /defense systems technology domains and manufacturing
* Experience in developing manufacturing strategies and proposals
* Ability to prepare and present reports and briefings
* Experience in developing, and maintaining strong relationships w/respective program PPL and Functional Partners as well as end using customers
* Experience with transition of programs from design to manufacturing
* Communication skills: Negotiation, creativity, presentation and communication (written and verbal), responsiveness, being open-minded, team player, facilitation
* Knowledge of Export Import (EXIM) requirements
* Knowledge of EVMS (Earned Value Management System) and Risk & Opportunity Management
* Understanding of Material Resource Planning and Shop Floor Management Tools (ie: PRISM, VM)
* Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
