Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Job Requirements
Minimum EducationGraduate of a Program in Professional Nursing required
Bachelors degree preferred
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville.
Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required or within six (6) months of hireOther - New Graduate RN ACLS required within one (1) year of hire
Licenses:Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required
