Providence Health Northeast Campus is currently looking for a Certified Pharmacy Tech for our team.

Essential Functions:

* Accurately and aseptically reconstitutes parenteral medications and compounds IV solutions, irrigations, and other specialty solutions.
* Accurately fills and labels first dose medication in unit dose and assist in cart fill procedures as required.
* Tubes orders through pneumatic tube system in timely manner or as required makes delivery of medications, IV solutions, or controlled substances. Included in distribution process is daily delivery of IV batch solutions to nursing units and retrieval of discontinued or changed solutions.
* Receives and reviews physicians' orders for computer order entry into patient profile prior to verification by RPh. Brings orders for stats or now orders to the attention of the RPh.

Job Requirements

Minimum Work Experience

One plus years of experience as pharmacy technician in hospital or retail required. Hospital experience (including IV therapy) highly desirable. Time to train internally is approximately 8 weeks

Minimum Education

High school diploma required. Completion of formalized technician training program or equivalent experience desired. Includes special training/ licensure and specific skills required/preferred.
