Seeking a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, ASIC Systems to work on the next generation of Micron's SSD controllers as part of a highly skilled team. This individual will report directly to our VP ASIC Development and focused on the strategy of developing Best In Class Controller Right controllers at Right time.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* As a member of ASIC senior staff, candidate will be responsible to drive ASIC roadmap and ensure readiness of features, technology, and IPs infrastructure for the new controllers in the roadmap
* You will support VP ASIC Development, his staff and collaborating with BUs and product engineering in creating 3 years ASIC roadmap and 5 years strategic plans
* You will closely be collaborating with our Business Units and System and ASIC Architecture teams, taking active role in customers meetings and derive ASIC/IPs features/readiness from customers requirements
* You will contribute to IPs roadmap/strategy, including Make vs. Buy tradeoffs and decisions.
* You will Drive ASIC Technology selection (specifically identify right timeline for 5nm transition, looking on industry trends, technical Pros/Cons.
Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:
* MS Degree and a minimum of 15+ years of proven experience
* Great ASIC and product level understating and vision, especially in SSD, Mobile and Automotive products, and controllers
* Proven industry experience in creating leadership roadmap
* In depth ASIC background, covering entire ASUC development flow from Requitements to High volume manufacturing.
* Strong leadership background
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, and good teamwork.
