Position Summary

The Benefits Senior Analyst's primary focus will be working with cross-functional teams to identify, implement and maintain mandated paid leave and absence plans. This role will be responsible for staying current on mandated paid leave laws and regulations on a national and local scale. Acts as a project manager and subject matter expert. Works closely with Internal and external counsel, Human Resources, Technology, Payroll, Store Communication and third-party contacts. This role requires knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and compliance in general. May support other compliance projects related to ACA, Part-time PTO, disability, COBRA and Health & Welfare and Retirement plan audits.

ResponsibilitieS

Expectations include but are not limited to:

* Document functional and technical requirements for new leaves and lead cross-functional teams to implement
* Develop communication materials to educate associates on absence plans
* Manage vendor relationships
* Monitor leaves nationwide
* Test absence balances and accruals
* Perform complex reconciliations and internal statistical and financial reporting
* Conduct adhoc reporting and complex analytics
* Ensure compliance, accuracy and timely delivery for 1095-C forms
* Project manage cross-functional initiatives
* Assist with annual plan audits
* Analyze, research trends and monitor competitor benefit survey information to recommend plan changes

Qualifications

Qualifications

* In depth knowledge of state and local mandated sick pay and absence programs and/or statutory disability plans
* Strong legal interpretation skills
* Well organized - ability to coordinate several complex projects along with core duties Financial acumen
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal
* Ability to influence without authority
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong expertise in MS Excel, HR Access
* Strong technical and analytical skills
* Proven ability to work independently
* Execution focus is critical

Experience and Education

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Human Resources or Legal Compliance
* Experience with Benefits and HR administration systems
* 2-5 years of relevant work experience
* Oracle Cloud Core HR, Benefits is a plus
