Job Description:
Responsible for the installation, repair, configuration and preventative maintenance of end user computing devices. Exhibits an understanding of business and engineering application configurations and integration with the end user computing device. Provides technical support for Windows operating systems; Unix/Linux experience is also helpful. Troubleshoots core business components within the Microsoft Office Suite as well as other major business applications. Performs hardware and software moves, adds and changes. Provides technical support in person or via remote management tools to troubleshoot software and hardware alerts and failures. Ensures systems and related equipment are in working condition and performs upgrades as needed to maintain operational status. Maintains records on repairs, down time, changes and updates. Maintains and updates incident records in tracking databases and provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of end users to appropriate next level of technical support personnel in alignment with established service level agreements. May support computers in both unclassified and (following receipt of appropriate DoD clearance) classified environments.
Job Responsibilities:
* Desktop/laptop maintenance, imaging, deployment, and support
* End user support of hardware, OS, and installed applications
* Entry of and updates to service management tickets
* Performance to Service Level Agreements (SLA) governing ticket response time
Qualifications:
* Bachelors' degree and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or post-Secondary/Associate's Degree and a minimum of 8 years or prior related experience or Graduate Degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in hardware configuration, maintenance, and repair
* Microsoft Office product support
* Windows OS Support - Windows 10
* Basic network knowledge and troubleshooting
* Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) experience
* Microsoft SCCM experience
* ServiceNow (or similar) service management ticketing software experience
