How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
* The Financial Reporting department is primarily responsible for the preparation of Deltas financial statements and for researching and concluding on technical accounting matters.
* The department regularly interacts with senior management, investor relations, legal, treasury, corporate development, division and subsidiary leaders and internal/external auditors.
* Financial Reporting project managers serve in a leadership role to ensure the integrity of Delta's financial statements Overseeing and completing month-end close processes for certain corporate-level and judgmental accounts; including journal entries, preparation of account reconciliations, intercompany balancing and eliminations, general ledger research, variance analysis, and execution of internal controls.
* Supporting the filing of Deltas Forms 10-K and 10-Q with the SEC, including the implementation of new reporting requirements
* Coordinating the financial components of the quarterly earnings release and external presentations with investor relations
* Assisting with the preparation and review of quarterly Audit Committee presentations
* Supporting the development of specific skills, behaviors and knowledge among team members to ensure sustained performance and to prepare for success in future responsibilities
* Ensuring appropriate documentation and performance of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
* Teaming with Deltas external auditors and internal auditors to ensure an efficient and effective audit process.
* Leading the identification and prioritization of process improvement initiatives to support the Finance transformation goals.
* Developing both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well being.
* The candidate should also possess a proven ability to work in a team environment and should be detail-oriented, deadline-focused and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
* CPA is required

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
* 4+ years of relevant accounting experience; experience in public accounting with a Big 4 or other top tier firm and/or corporate financial reporting in a public company preferred; (3) licensed CPA is required; (4) excellent written and verbal communication skills.
