How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Responsible for conducting quantitative and strategic analysis in support of Revenue Management's Revenue and Competitive Analysis team. The primary function of the role is to provide a rigorous analytical foundation for decision making in order to maximize revenue for Delta. In addition, the position will manage a number of other projects and initiatives to accomplish our revenue and profitability objectives with a focus on expanding our understanding of the marketplace.

The role requires the ability to independently structure analyses using broad and disparate data sources, interpreting and communicating results to drive deeper commercial understanding of traditional Revenue Management metrics, internal and external performance drivers and economic indicators. This position will have the opportunity to work closely with our commercial colleagues on a variety of projects, including regular collaboration with the Loyalty team on redemption strategy.

This role will practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

* At least three years of related work experience and a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent number of relevant work experience required
* Data analysis, strong verbal and written communication, and solution-oriented experience required
* Candidate must have superior technical, quantitative/analytical, and organizational skills
* Must have the ability to work well with others in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision, be results oriented, and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and follow through
* Candidate must have the ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional divisions within Delta
* Must seek challenging, analytical work and must be highly skilled in communicating complex revenue and detailed analytical analysis in an easy to understand manner through oral and written means to all levels of management
* Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

* Skills with spreadsheet analysis, and experience building quantitative analysis models in SAS and Hyperion Brio is preferred.
