Product Management Consultant

This role was created to provide interactive tools, insights, and other resources, to assist sales with complicated solutions selling. We currently offer, and continue to refine a ROI Calculator. We also have additional tools in development to help simplify complicated tasks such as sales process mapping and assistance, custom tailored solution builders/sizers, customer assessment and journey mapping, and some internal analytics dashboard/s.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate would be a seasoned product manager with deep expertise in Mobile and/or Web Applications. As a Product Manager you would be responsible for running this workstream, leveraging some internal development resources, and some external agency resources. You will be spearheading the mission to build and deliver innovative cloud based interactive tools that are optimized for both mobile and web browser usage (via Responsive UI). You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to take these tools from inception to final end of life. Some tools will be internal only and some will also be customer accessible.

Responsibilities:

* Defining high-quality roadmaps, and evangelizing concepts, strategy and vision across MCSG, Services, ISG, and in some cases other Dell Technology businesses (such as VMware).
* Developing detailed & crisp application definitions, and business requirements
* Working directly with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, decipher blockers, and translate the feedback into actionable user stories for your development teams
* Interfacing closely with sales, agency resources, internal software engineering, services, etc. to deliver robust applications/tools in a budget conscious, timely fashion
* From time to time you will be required to partner with IT, Marketing, Dell.com, finance and procurement teams
* Driving product launches end-to-end, including working with sales, and marketing

Essential Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in Product Management
* Proven track record for shipping entirely new products/services/solutions from the ground-up
* Ability to define & shape the interactive tools strategy and evangelize with key executives and other stakeholder
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Requirements

* Software and progressive web app experience
* Previous product marketing experience
* Previous program or project management experience
* Strong customer focus. Able to engage, communicate, and manage internal stakeholder relationships, including interfacing with senior leadership
* Background in customer experience design and development
* Domain knowledge of Mobile Applications and Platforms
* Domain knowledge of Cross Platform Mobile Development
