Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Sales Application Engineer to join our team specializing in Power Generation sales for our Distribution Business in Houston, TX.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* You will grow and influence Healthcare Sales across Cummins Sales and Service by building relationships with Key Influencer Customers.

* Influence demand and preference for Cummins Power Generators, their systems, products, services and solutions by influencing technical and commercial stakeholders.

* Stay current on new techniques releveant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical / process competency.

* Responsible for market analysis reports as well as the impact of potential alternative technologies.

* Sales Forecasting - Collects and assesses customer data from internal and external sources; compares against historical data to determine useful inputs and create a forecast of future consumption patterns.

* Sales Pipeline Management - Plans proactively for successful execution of account/territory-level sales strategies and plans based on current pipeline; evaluates pipeline health (size, contents, progress); adjusts sales strategy, plans, or high impact activities accordingly; as applicable coaches sellers in order to achieve sales objectives.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* College, university degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Bachelors degree preferred.

* Experience in technical sales, application engineering or project management desirable.

* Ability to acquire licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. This role may be eligible for a Sales Compensation program.
