Responsibilities
* Greet patients and visitors in a pleasant manner
* Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
* Assist patients as needed with health questionnaires
* Escort patients to examination rooms
* Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
* Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
* Clean and sterilize instruments
* Set up supplies in procedure room
* May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
* Cross-train to cover front desk when coverage is needed
* May be required to float to other clinics as needed
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent
* Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required within 90 days of hire
* American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
