This Accountant position is Full Time and works in the Administrative Services, Accounting department. Supports the fiscal service functions of the Accounting Department, including consolidated financial reporting, journal entry preparation, monthly closing, balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly distributions, audit preparation, budgeting, annual taxes and customer support.

Supports the fiscal service functions of the Accounting Department, including consolidated financial reporting, journal entry preparation, monthly closing, balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly distributions, audit preparation, budgeting, annual taxes and customer support.

Essential Functions:

Assists with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close functions.

Ensures all data is consistency captured in order to present accurate financial reporting. Assists with account reconciliations within the specified guidelines in a timely and accurate manner. Prepares other reporting as required by local and state agencies ( i.e. - Sales and Use Tax, Unclaimed Property, Property tax) . Prepares various work papers including but not limited to; audit, tax, budget, monthly and quarterly operating analysis, account analysis and other miscellaneous reports.

Assists in accounting projects and duties as designated by the CFO or Accounting Director.

Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.

Qualifications-

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related financial field

Experience:

Two (2) years accounting experience; experience in a hospital setting preferred.
