Global Operations Counsel

Key Role:
Work as a member of the Global Transactions and Innovation team within the firms legal department, providing legal advice primarily to business, infrastructure, and operations personnel in Booz Allens international space on a variety of internationally-focused legal issues. Maintain responsibility for providing management, operations, human resources, recruiting, immigration, and other professionals with business-oriented legal counsel and strategic thinking on all aspects of issues relating to the legal implications of international operations, global mobility matters, supporting international expansion projects and the establishment and disestablishment of country presence, as well as a focus consulting on driving process improvements for legal support to the global business and operations teams. Advise on processes and documents relating to employee mobility, such as assignment agreements, secondments, international benefits, payroll, and tax-related matters, and other global assignment processes. Advise on compliance with Booz Allen global policies, local employment laws regarding employment contracts, transfers between jurisdictions, hiring, benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements, and multi-jurisdictional aspects of assignments, as well as counseling the firm on enterprise-wide regulatory issues and corporate policy implications. Support work to enable Booz Allens global business, including international and cross-border issues primarily arising in the UK, EU, Middle East, and East Asia. Manage outside counsel to receive jurisdiction-specific employment law advice and oversee litigation matters and mediations. This position is open to temporary remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience as an attorney

-Experience with advising private commercial organizations to include employment law advising or working in a corporate legal environment or law firm
-Ability to serve as a business partner to corporate leaders and build consensus on complex law and business issues while viewing legal issues through a business lens and with a focus on operational improvements for delivery of legal advice
-JD degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with global mobility agreements and issues, immigration issues, or international setup issues
-Experience with establishing business operations in new jurisdictions or operating internationally as a commercial organization, including handling international corporate governance, corporate tax, or international contractual issues
-Knowledge of foreign affairs or international legal issues
-Ability to be understanding of and appreciate intercultural communication
-Ability to communicate with multinational teams operating in multiple time zones effectively
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent client relation and team orientation skills
