Bed Bath and Beyond seeks Forklift Drivers (PIT Operators) to join our new E-Commerce Fulfillment Center and contribute to our culture.
Responsibilities
Operates Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move merchandise between warehouse locations.
Utilizes RF scanner/computer to determine merchandise placement and to maintain inventory accuracy.
Moves merchandise from/to active and reserve locations; handles merchandise in a careful and safe manner.
Safely maneuvers through storage racks, trailers, and other areas of the warehouse to load and unload supplies and equipment.
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with associates, supervisors and managers.
Assist in other departments as needed and performs other duties as necessary
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age
Must have experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as swing reach, order picker and reach truck.
Must be able to pass written and practical MHE operator certification.
Ability to comprehend paper, computer and electronic based work related information such as work signs, postings, procedures, operating instructions and safety rules.
