Principal Payroll Policy Analyst/Developer

Job Description

The Principal Payroll Policy Analyst/Developer builds payroll calculation business rules/policies based on the statutory requirements, using ADP's in-house IDE. He/she is also technically responsible for the overall project success in policy implementation and support.

Responsibilities:

* Analyze requirements to understand new/enhanced payroll/tax processing logic.
* Participate in story mapping sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Facilitate Specification by Example (SBE) sessions to gain a clear understanding of assigned features.
* Develop policies for payroll calculations to satisfy statutory requirements.
* Write and maintain test scenarios and test cases for complex payroll/tax features.
* Work with development partners to define system-to-system interactions.
* Analyzes API response payloads in JSON.
* Transform test cases into the automation framework in spreadsheet format.
* Validates test results against product requirements.
* Utilize JIRA, Confluence (document repository), Google suite (Google docs, Google sheets, etc), Sequel Pro, MySQL Workbench, POSTMAN, IntelliJ and other tools for analysis and development.
* Participate in sprint planning, standups, story definition, story estimation and other agile / scrum development activities.

Your Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, computer information systems or equivalent.
* Solid Understanding of HCM/payroll concepts and processes.
* 10+ years of experience with HCM/Payroll systems such as SAP Payroll, ADP GlobalView, Oracle and ADP Autopay.
* Experience in configuring rules-based systems.

* Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
* Experience with XML/JSON.
* Agile project development experience.
* CPP/FCP payroll certification.
