Apples fast-growing global Apple Music business seeks a creatively-minded Editorial Tools, Personalization and Features Project Manager to join its global Editorial team. You'll be a natural communicator, with the outstanding ability to speak from the intersection of art + science, translating between the creative and analytical sides of the organization to ensure an amazing customer experience. Working with the many partners across the business, this role will help drive the editorial vision for key aspects of personalization, internal tools and voice product features from concept stage through to completion.

* Detailed understanding of the digital content streaming space, Natural Language Processing and Voice technology.
* Excel working cross-functionally to bring ideas and plans together; being able to reconcile different creative points of view as well as ensuring that each partner is invested.
* Deep connection to the arts, tech, & media landscape, and experience working closely with both creative and engineering teams.
* Understanding of content technologies such as content management systems, metadata and taxonomy management tools and analytics tools.
* Experience working across many International cultures and countries with an understanding for local nuances
* International music knowledge and interest across a wide rage of genres and artists
* Interacting with music via Siri or other Voice platforms is second nature to you.
* Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) strategy and planning.
* Data science research or human computer interaction experience is a plus.

The team is looking for an experienced taxonomist to lead the evolution of Musics editorial knowledge base taxonomy; powering measurable improvements to the quality and variety of recommendations and search/Siri results through improvements in editorial signals. Evaluate and optimize current content tagging structure, metadata and taxonomy in the Music space. Maintain and continue development of existing taxonomies that categorize content by product, genre, mood, language and topical events. Develop additional taxonomies to support new ways to personalize and increase discoverability of editorial product within the app and voice ecosystem. Lead the design, development and maintenance of software tools that support and automate certain product features; driving technology and process improvements. Partner with vendors to fill in gaps in editorial expertise; including the evaluation of and assignment of duties across the partnerships. In addition, the successful candidate will develop, implement, and maintain guidelines and procedures for consistent and quality editorial tag management and content organization. Handle qualitative and data-driven assessments of all inputs, assumptions and results of editorial tagging work. In addition, help run other product feature, tools and personalization projects across the broader Music organization.

University degree preferable. MBA or Post-Graduate preferred. 3 to 5 years experience in a related field.
