The global head of Ops Transformation Technology and Issuer Services will be responsible for several key technology units within the Information Services Group (ISG) of the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) at Citi. In this role, you will lead a large engineering organization (over 150 employees), responsible for several mission critical systems across various business lines. Some of the key units are focused on operations transformation technologies, such as document management, workflow automation tools, and others. Another key unit is the Issuer Services technology group, which supports the issuance and administrative needs of global institutional clients through two key business segments, namely Agency and Trust and Depositary Receipt Services.
Responsibilities:
Lead a large research and engineering organization with responsibility for a wide range of systems, projects and domains
Manage executive stakeholder audience in a variety of business units by acting as a partner and trusted advisor
Drive transformation programs across large operations organizations
Lead technical processes and standards across a global organization
Engage with external vendors, startups and clients on technology and innovation activities
Liaison with different technology teams within the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) to ensure smooth delivery of mission critical initiatives
Experience & Qualifications:
Academic degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent. MSc or MBA preferred
At least 15 years of experience in the software industry
At least 3 years of proven experience in leading large engineering teams (100+ employees)
Strong and diverse technical background. Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies, influence highly skilled engineering teams and overall have a personal impact on technology decisions and vision.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the industry, banking, and investment products
Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills
Highly motivated self-starter, resourceful, able to perform well under stressful conditions, flexible, team worker and able to take direction well
Highly organized and ability to manage complex tasks
