About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to fill a highly visible, strategic and technical role within the Analytics Center of Excellence to manage and support the evolution of our Sales Reporting Data Product and contribute to the Analytics strategy and solutions for our global business.

This role will support end to Analytics processes in the Commercial space as well as act as a SME on Analytics programs involving data analysis, integration, front end reporting and Analytics content. This individual will be collaborating with cross-functional program/product managers, IT and business functions within BSC surrounding Analytics programs. The Business Analyst is responsible for developing complex user requirements/user stories, and analyzes, plans, and implementation of Analytics solutions that meet the business needs.

Your responsibilities include:

* Work on the Analytics COE team with a focus on Commercial Analytics and close collaboration with our Analytics Studio and Analytics Platform teams.
* Provide support for the creation and refinement of solutions and integrations with other key Commercial technologies such as SAP HANA, Salesforce.com, Master Data Management, Informatica and Hadoop.
* Lead block releases and sprints to implement new features for commercial reporting and analytics.
* Participate in future strategy for Commercial Analytics and transformation initiatives.
* Participates in all stages of product evolution from gathering user stories/requirements and researching options, design, configuration/development and testing, to rollout and maintenance.
* Identifies opportunities for business process improvements and establishes effective and efficient processes, including prioritizing demand.
* Provides requirements/user story analysis, level of effort estimation, and project planning.
* Promotes simplified integrations and Analytics solutions with a business process first approach.
* Proactively identifies needs of end users; develops and provides the necessary support to meet those needs.
* Ability to communicate highly technical solutions to business partners and users at their level of technical understanding.
* Appropriately communicates task status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items.
* Manages communications amongst technical staff, vendors, and internal partners.
* Enhances, maintains and supports the development of systems throughout the Software Development Lifecycle according to the IT methodology, department SOPs, and team guidelines.
* Creates and maintains system documentation according to the BSC Global Systems Methodology (proposals, designs, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary) for new and existing applications.
* Ensures that system & related processes meet all applicable compliance requirements.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors degree required.
* 7 or more years of work experience with delivery and support of software development solutions and environments.
* Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
* Understanding and experience providing software solution analysis, project management, and testing leadership.
* Ability to partner with business divisions and functions in delivery.
* Experience delivering and maintaining systems within a medical device or a highly regulated environment.
* Previous experience working in a cross-functional, highly matrixed business environment.
* Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
* Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with leadership.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills including analytics troubleshooting skills.
* Demonstrates courage in ensuring value-driven solutions are delivered.
* Business Process modeling expertise, and deep understanding of translating data requirements into usable front-end business solutions.
* Able to work on a team in person and in a collaborative virtual setting, Self-motivated, self-directed, adaptable.
* Able to clearly communicate with management, both written and oral communication.
* Proven track record of delivery and strong verbal and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms, integrations, and data warehousing such as Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, Oracle, Informatica, etc.
* Experience with Analytics implementations and/or data and reporting projects.
