Budget Analyst
Key Role:
Oversee and manage the Armys Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution for allocating resources in support of mission operations. Support DoD civilian and military leaders as they determine which programs and force structure requirements to fund based on strategic objectives. Provide budget recommendations to modernize and implement enterprise capabilities to enhance the security, interoperability and appropriate protection of information resources. Apply expertise in strategies and policies to manage the budget to addressing issues, gaps, and requirements necessary to support the modernization enterprise cybersecurity initiatives. Assess and review relevant regulations, directives, mandates, policies, and supporting technical specifications to make informed budget decisions. Evaluate the current state of the budget identify the elements that provide clear return on investment and determine how to leverage to gain IT efficiencies. Provide recommendations on how the budget enables the program technologies to be deployed within environment and the impacts of budget cuts and shortfalls.
Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience with working in the budget process with DoD or Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA)
* Knowledge of the DoD's budget process
* Active Secret clearance
* HS diploma or GED
