Job Description

GEOINT Meteorological Source Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a meteorological and oceanographic (METOC) SME to enable GEOINT collection and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) processes and activities in support of national security objectives. Leverage METOC and non-standard sources of METOC data, information, and knowledge to enable GEOINT missions. Document GEOINT METOC capability needs and requirements and ensure plans, strategies, and processes incorporate METOC. Integrate METOC technologies to advance self-service and online or on-demand access to METOC-relevant content. Provide expert technical assessments on programs and processes in relation to METOC capabilities and equities. Support client equities in DoD acquisition and Joint Staff capability board processes to shape future METOC programs to support GEOINT activities. Provide management and staff officer support to the client, assist with resolving complex problems, and communicate information and analyses as written, visual, and oral products to senior clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with meteorology and oceanography and intelligence analysis at the national level

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of the intelligence community and GEOINT processes
-Knowledge of military operations and integration of METOC data

-Ability to leverage and enable advanced technologies and databases

-Ability to brief senior staff officers to affect decisions

-Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) techniques and principles of Object-Based Production (OBP)

-Ability to work in a dynamic environment with team members

-Ability to be a self-starter, work alone, and share information

-Possession of excellent customer support skills

-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred
