As part of the firm's ongoing development a new initiative, Booking Holdings Financial Services (BHFS) is established. It is intended that BHFS-USA will provide certain financial services to Bookers and Partner customers using the online platforms within the BKNG portfolio of brands.

Job Overview

Booking Holdings Financial Services USA , is looking for a Chief Financial Officer with experience in leading Finance teams within a regulated financial services environment to act as a critical partner to our business, helping to deliver a world-class payments operation to support Booking Holdings Incs brands globally. Leading a small team of finance professionals the CFO will be directly involved in the day to day operations of the finance team.

Reporting to the BHFS-USA General Manager the CFO is in charge of the financial management of BHFS-USA. The CFO is also a member of a number of executive governance committees.. The CFOs activities include:

* Lead a high performing finance team

* Demonstrating ethical leadership and business integrity

* Controls all internal financial transactions and prepares, reviews and align financial reports

* Manages and oversees all money flows that are under the supervision of BHFS-USA

* Provides the Executive Committee, Board and the shareholder with current and accurate financial data

* Manages, oversees and monitors compliant financial reporting and regulatory reporting

Individual members of the Executive Committee are responsible for the preparation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of decisions of the Executive Committee regarding the managerial tasks that are allocated to those individuals. The Executive Committee collectively makes and bears responsibility for all the decisions within all portfolios. BHFS-USA allocates the following responsibility domains to the CFO:

* Treasury

* Tax

* Finance

* Regulatory reporting

The CFO is also a member of the following BHFS-USA committees:

* US Executive Committee

* Audit Committee

* Risk Committee

* Management and Corporate Governance Committee

* Operations Committee

* Outsourcing Committee

The CFO has a matrix reporting line into the BHFS Global CFO in Ireland to allow for a cohesive approach to the USA including financial requirements and to ensure any outsourced services operate adequately.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Recruit and develop a high performing finance team to serve the business

* Fulfilling stewardship responsibilities by ensuring effective compliance and control and responding to regulatory developments, including financial reporting, capital requirements and corporate responsibility

* Sharing strategic leadership responsibilities with the General Manager and other senior managers and ensuring the finance function supports the business at a strategic and operational level

* Ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with general accounting and corporate standards

* Engaging and communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders

* Ensure all payment operations and treasury activities and associated reconciliation controls are completed in a timely and accurate manner

* Coordinate and manage both Internal and External audit review processes

* Partner with other group companies to ensure satisfactory delivery of outsourced services

* Responsible for Statutory, Regulatory and Tax reporting for the business

* Ownership of Local Accounts Payable and Inter-Company billing processes

* Budgeting and Forecasting

Qualifications

* Academic degree or equivalent level demonstrated in relevant work experience.

* Qualified Accountant.

* Knowledge of payments/e-money sector in the USA.

* Knowledge of business development and implementing corporate strategy.

* Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards.

* 12+ years post qualified experience in a managerial capacity.

* Significant experience in senior financial management and proven experience in the role of a CFO, Head of Treasury and/or Group Controller, preferably at regulated payment or e-money licensed institutions in the USA.

* Experience with Financial, Tax and Regulatory Reporting in the US.

* Good knowledge of and Financial ERP (SAP) systems.

* Sound track record in the development, mentoring and motivation of finance teams

* Excellent writing, communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills.

* Eager to learn new technologies and ideas. Comfortable navigating complicated and nuanced issues.

* Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a fast paced team environment.

* Minimal travel to be expected.
