Description
IT Business Analyst is responsible for the initiation and project scope development of Point-of-Sale (POS)/Digital Technology for both new and existing business projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects are scoped, documented and quoted properly before handing off to the POS Deployment and Infrastructure teams for successful implementations. With a collaborative effort, this position will interface with multiple IT Teams in order to understand, document and discuss/recommend deployable technologies that fit potential project business needs. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are critical. Additional requirements include analytical skills, the ability to think outside the box and strong written skills. Previous experience with POS and Patron Management Systems is highly desired.
* Provides excellent customer service to field teams to communicate/explain IT Technology offerings
* Conducts complete diagnosis of business problems, factoring in a strong understanding of the POS implementation process and technical architecture.
* Anticipates and documents potential implementation obstacles
* Analyzes many cross-technology and cross platform issues and documents for teams (Deployment/Menu/Infrastructure)
* Create SOWs and follows established DocuSign process
* Creates LOB specific forecasting reports on an as-needed basis
* Excellent time management skills with ability to complete assigned tasks on schedule
* Must be able to determine the need and create new knowledge articles related to role
* Participate in technical and functional training classes as necessary or required
* Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the role
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in hospitality, information technology or related discipline with 3-5 years of professional experience required, preferably within the foodservice industry.
* Ability to translate organizational needs into effective customer service experiences when assisting system users and develop knowledge articles to document the issue and resolution
* Previous experience in system deployment, go-live support, quality assurance or similar role preferred
* Excellent time management skills in managing multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing demands
* Individual must possess sophisticated communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with multiple levels of management
* Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization is not only required, but vital to the success of all efforts related to this position
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills are required, including Excel and PowerPoint
* Position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills required
