Do you want to play a pivotal role in helping Amazon development teams internationalize their features and delight our customers across the globe? International Technology (INTech) organization is looking for a highly motivated SDE-II to support Amazons long-term vision of building and deploying features for international markets from day one.
INTech Global Parity team was formed in 2018 with a focus on measuring and reducing the parity gap among features available across various Amazon marketplaces. The team is focused on driving successful, locale-specific features to parity, and working to address key internationalization blockers that development teams experience today in an effort to reduce future parity gap as new features are released.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
* 5+ years of software development experience
* Object Oriented Design and familiarity with application and database programming under UNIX/Linux.
* Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, algorithms, test driven development
* Experience building web services and highly scalable applications
* Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL
* Experience with Agile (SCRUM), OO modeling, web services, UNIX, middleware, database and data mining systems
* Experience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Masters degree in computer science
* A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly and get things done.
* A good understanding of SDLC models and a track record of shipping software efficiently. You recognize the difference between building software and shipping software.
* Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet timelines with optimal solutions.
* Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A high degree of pragmatism in building the simplest thing that does the job; we want to use technology to solve real-world problems expediently, not indulge in over-designed, unnecessarily intricate software architecture
* A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly and get things done
* Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
