Writing highly efficient, testable, quality code written with Java, C++, or C (or another excellent OO language)
Machine learning, data science and/or data-driven services

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience
1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Building machine learning systems in production with user data
Problem solving, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
The ability to work quickly toward tight deadlines, and make smart tradeoffs between speed, accuracy, and maintainability.
Communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Working with cloud architecture and web services
Experience leading development of complex software systems that have been successfully delivered
Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including Agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
