DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager to be a key member of the Internal Audit Quality and Standards team in Seattle, WA. Amazons Internal Audit team is responsible for helping protect Amazons businesses and customers globally by providing an independent and objective assessment of risk and working with senior leaders across the company to mitigate risk and drive continuous improvements that directly help our customers.

The Quality and Standards Team supports the global Internal Audit team. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to drive and implement ideas that help improve Internal Audit and its impact on Amazon and deliver a range of written materials such as strategy documents, executive updates, business requirements, project status updates, and operating procedures. You are the right candidate if you are able to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and sound logical reasoning. You are able to work independently, and remain flexible, with the ability to prioritize workloads and maintain a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key tasks:
Managing difficult and/or cross-functional projects and goals
Accelerate progress by driving timely decisions
Deriving meaningful insights and recommendations from large data sets
Spot risks, ask the right questions, clear blockers, and escalate appropriately
Make trade-offs: time vs. quality vs. resources
Manage timelines and workflows
Producing ad-hoc analyses
Working on ad-hoc tasks/projects
Providing support for month and quarter end reviews, forecasts, and annual operating plans
Reporting on financial and operational performance metrics
Partnering across Internal Audit to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance
Catalyst for faster business delivery, improves the correctness and accuracy of controls; simplifies or eliminates unnecessary processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years experience in program or project management
Bachelor's Degree
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
3+ years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, a highly analytical field (e.g., Data Science), or equivalent
Advanced Excel skills
3+ years of professional work experience in finance or a related analytical field
Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership of projects or programs and driving results
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or programs; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment
Strong bias for action
