The central Sustainable Transportation team is looking for a Sustainable Transportation Program Manager to drive the transportation decarbonization strategy across our external transportation providers in North America (from the largest logistics and freight companies in the world to one-vehicle operators across air, rail, road or water). In this role, the candidate will partner with Amazon Operations businesses to scope decarbonization opportunities for Amazons external transportation providers and develop policies, programs and metrics to ensure objectives are achieved.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Partner with Amazon Operations businesses and drive the transportation decarbonization governance framework across North American external transportation providers
Partner with Sustainability Tech and external companies to build tools that will support the external transportation providers transition to clean transportation
Oversee the external transportation decarbonization programs, metrics and goals definition
Communicate and present to key decision makers and senior leaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
5+ years of experience in program or project management
5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or Master's Degree
Background in product management
Experience in global logistics commercial negotiations
Experience in driving, developing, and integrating sustainability or performance improvement strategies for transportation related services
Experience with the design and operation of complex transportation and logistics networks
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
This position will require the ability to Think Big and continuously invent and simply
Embody a unique mix of business leadership and technical understanding with a strong bias for action
Possess excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, technical environment
Ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must
Strong track record of driving projects and strategic initiatives from idea to completion
Motivated, agile, and will have strong time and project management skills
Show excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazons business, its platform and relevant technologies
