DESCRIPTION

The Percolate team is responsible for tailoring the experience of every customer on Amazons most prominent pages, billions of times a day. Utilizing state of the art machine learning techniques like reinforcement learning and deep learning, we build highly scalable, real-time systems that determine the content customers see across Amazon.

As a TPM, you will work with a team of engineers and product managers designing and implementing cutting edge recommender systems, inventing ways to multiply the rate of innovation across the company on behalf of our customers. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance customer and business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to assimilate a large number of inputs from stakeholders, develop cohesive designs and functional specs, prioritize and deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. You will clearly communicate goals, requirements, roadmaps, and timelines to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. You are entrepreneurial, innovative, and thrive on solving tough problems. Maturity, sound business and technical judgement, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
10+ years of relevant engineering experience
7+ years of technical program management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Masters in Computer Science or related field
Experienced at balancing short term business needs while making progress towards long term objectives
Track record of rationalizing technical requirements and business priorities of multiple teams
Strong technical judgement with experience building open platforms, distributed computing and highly scalable systems
Experience with industrial machine learning systems and/or recommender systems
Experience driving multiple products through a complete life cycle
