SUMMARY:

The Sr. Global Continuous Improvement Specialist , reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, is accountable for executing the corporate lean continuous improvement (CI) initiatives for our manufacturing facilities globally. The core responsibility of the global CI leader is to return bottom line productivity savings to our global P&L through deployment and use of core foundational lean concepts. He/she will also work closely with the plant managers, DPC CI teams, as well as cross-functional teams, to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective operational/business solutions for all aspects of the plants. This position may require up to 75% travel both domestically and internationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* As an Individual Contributor (no direct reports) Communicate Lean CI vision to plant/functional leaders and implement lean CI strategy at a site level.
* Support all DOVER operational excellence initiatives.
* Champion site level CI events, returning productivity improvements through core lean waste elimination concepts.
* Responsible for site productivity targets, both deployment and execution.
* Communicate monthly productivity and CI results to plant/functional management and corporate CI team.
* Execute CI roadmap within the site. Participate/teach/lead the deployment of design for flow lean tools.
* Establish standardized work and audit schedule for sustainment. Partner in Driving and improving the SQDIP metrics globally.
* Implement CI best practice sharing across the all sites globally within DPC.
* Participate in GEMBA walks and coach/mentor/train the plant/functional management team to deploy a consistent CI culture across the plant/functional areas.
* Teach problem-solving skills to all employees promote the use of problem-solving tools within the plant/functional areas and become a subject matter expert.
* Follow up regularly with site leaders to insure the continuation of foundational CI projects. Ensure all projects are tracked and reported on.

SKILLS:

* Must be highly self-motivated and passionate.
* Working experiences with functional leaders to establish and execute CI roadmap to deliver baseline results.
* Able to motivate and drive a CI mindset with multiple disciplines throughout the organization.
* Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, Power Point, and Lean view/Visio (Value stream mapping).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, business administration or related field.
* Six Sigma Black Belt certification and / or Lean certification
* Experience with TQMS such as TPS, Honeywell operating system, or similar operational excellence model.
* 7+ years of operations/production experience with demonstrated process improvement experiences.
* 5+ years of experience of leading Kaizen and deploying lean tools and principles.
* The ability to coordinate and lead successful cross-functional improvements is necessary in addition to possessing superior written, oral and presentation skills.

Preferred:

* Masters Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
* Lean transactional experiences in customer services, order entry, engineering design, and finance.
* SME/AME/ASQ/Shingo Prizes Lean Certification or other Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
