DESCRIPTION

To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services globally, the AWS Public Sector Professional Services is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced Program Manager for the Global Workforce Development Practice.

You will lead collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver world-class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong customer focus. You will work with stakeholders and multiple business teams to identify, define, and specify solutions meeting customers' needs. You will work with multiple technical teams globally to deliver those solutions. You will be the face and voice for the project teams and ensure all stakeholders are aware of successes, risks and project status. You will tailor your communications to specific audiences and communicate clearly and concisely to both business and technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities include:
Build and manage PMO project schedules/plans and metrics to support project delivery
Be responsible for consolidation and monthly write ups for the practice team
Plan and coordinate events including facilitation and action item management
Partner with leaders to develop business rhythms such as recurrent meetings
Coordinate team activities and events.
Manage team of supporting program managers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

+10 years of relevant experience in technology companies, consulting services and/or operating experience
Strong leadership skills and ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage senior relationships; ability to influence widely without authority
Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) skills; excellent at communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ability to develop executive level messaging, report and presentations
BA/BS degree or equivalent with specialization in engineering, marketing, finance, business, technology or related fields

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience dealing effectively with internal and external customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
Ability to analyze, consolidate, and aggregate data from various sources
Experience reviewing technical communications
Be willing to act with a sense of urgency, balanced with diplomacy
MBA or Master's degree
PMP Certified
