Are you skilled at building email programs that deliver an innovative, customized, functional, and delightful experience for a target audience? We are looking for a Sr. Email Marketing Manager to join our growing outbound marketing channels team to reach our customers with stories and facts about Amazon Advertising. Keys to success in this role are an ability to create, manage, and analyze weekly email campaigns, and use the results to optimize and scale. In this role, you will be responsible for building the strategy, implementing the roadmap, and reporting on results for a high-visibility global email programs across multiple languages.
The ideal candidate has experience leveraging data to gain insights and solve problems, an eye for graphic design, experience with content strategy, and technical email development skills. Our new team member will join several coworkers and needs to be deeply analytical, detail oriented, and obsessive over constantly improving digital customer experiences leveraging quantitative and qualitative inputs. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and drive innovative email solutions that achieve business goals and raise the bar for customer experience with each launch.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leverage modern email tools, both third party and in-house, to increase campaign performance
Build email programs and execute email campaigns that drive adoption of Amazons advertising solutions
Transform approved marketing content to email campaigns to drive advertiser actions at scale (adoption, engagement, or education)
Work with internal stakeholders to build campaigns that inform advertisers of new product developments, promotions, and optimization opportunities
Create and test campaigns and templates that align content to customer preferences (language, marketplace, products, or experience)
Optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, revenue lift, and engagement
Recommend and implement iterative A/B testing to continually improve performance through optimized messaging and targeting
Analyze and report on performance metrics of email campaigns and set up test plans to improve the campaign performance
Track email best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations
Leverage modern email tools, both third party and in-house, to increase campaign performance
Launch a self-serve email marketing onboarding and training program
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
5-7+ years experience building and managing email campaigns; including building, testing, and sending campaigns Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to influence others
Bachelors degree in marketing, business, communication or other related field or equivalent experience
Excels at leading cross-team meetings and presenting plans and roadmaps to leadership
Detail oriented--capable of leading a complex multi-month roadmap and ensuring defects do not ship to customers in email comms
Demonstrated experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
Aptitude for being organized with flexibility to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Competency with HTML and/or XML, plus the ability to learn our in-house analysis tools quickly
Ability to identify better ways of working at scale through building new mechanisms and processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Pardot or Marketo
Experience in B2B, digital advertising, and ad-tech products/services Experience in setting up automated marketing communication
Strong execution capability with highest standards in a rapidly evolving business
Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, PR, Legal, and Research
The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise, and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
Experience with SQL
Experience building and optimizing multi-touch attribution models
