The Strategic Sourcing Department has an opening for a Technology Business Analyst. This position is in Pleasanton, CA.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provide data analysis including cost input, major drivers and logistic impacts
* Strong analytical and presentation skills to support Technology Sourcing Leadership in various business reviews
* Data mining related to specific initiatives and projects as requested by the Strategic Sourcing Department
* Summarize financials and present recommendations to business unit and senior management
* Assist Sourcing Manager and Sr. Sourcing Manager as needed with their categories, managing minor categories as defined by the Sr. Sourcing Manager
* Support the creation and maintenance of a robust Savings Pipeline including the realization of benefits process
* Create and own specific savings projects as appropriate
* Engage Strategic Sourcing Finance team for alignment on savings initiatives
* Interface with various business units on projects and support the development of strategies to create a competitive negotiation environment
* Build efficient financial models that support competitive negotiating events
* Gather bid data and analyze complex supplier proposals and make award recommendations to the sourcing management and key stakeholders
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business
* Assure accurate and timely financial models are in place for all savings initiatives
* Able to challenge financial assumptions when needed
* Support various projects as needed for the department
* Ensure that processes are being followed and adhered to for SOX compliance
* Willingness to travel as requested to attend various offsite meetings including Albertsons offices or plants, and supplier plants or offices
Qualifications:
* B.A./B.S. degree in Business or another related field preferred
* 2-4 years' experience in sourcing, finance, financial reporting/analysis or accounting preferred
* Diverse experience and knowledge in various aspects of sourcing/supply chain preferred
* Exceptional meeting management and presentation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, quality assurance and follow through
* Strong customer support and ability to work with cross functional teams
* Strong initiative, creative problem-solving ability and sense of urgency, effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines
* Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance, and create solutions that are in alignment with the culture and strategies of the department and company
* Exceptional data mining capabilities across databases
* Strong program skills in MS Office and SQL
* Knowledge of auctioning software, Iasta, preferred
* Knowledge of Lawson Financials, Oracle financials, Service Now, Per Angusta, Tangoe (Telephone Expense Management) System a plus.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. He worked hard, seven days a week, on his vision to build his company, and through his inspiring work ethic and tireless
determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
