Job Summary:

Airgas Gas Dry Ice Local Route Drivers make 15 20 stops per day operating a 26ft Straight Truck (Bobtail) or operate a Class A tractor. Our Non-hazardous Dry-Ice products are stored an industrial cooler to customers such as, Grocery stores, Military bases, and Medical institutions.

Our Class A driver will run the Western Washington Area

Our dedicated Class B route runs within City of Seattle, WA. The Driver will provide world class customer service, assuring that each client is serviced to Airgas customer service and safety standards.

Each driver must perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections per Airgas Safety practices to ensure optimal safety of our employees by documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order.

Route Details: Backup Plant shuttle driver, Backup route driver

Work hours: Varies depending on need (Typically 3AM to 11:30 AM but will vary if covering plant shuttle to 8am to 7PM)

Work days: will occasionally vary. Monday - Friday on route work, Sunday - Wednesday on Plant shuttle coverage.

Type of CDL Required: Class A

Avg hours per week: 40-45

Avg miles per day or week: Varies. As low as none to as high as 1000.

Avg stops per day: Varies greatly

Any overtime available: Yes

Any layover required: No

Cover area: Western Washington

Any special instructions: This is a back up driver position. Candidates must be flexible on hours. This position may eventually become a regular route driver if an opening comes in the future. There will also likely be days spent in the warehouse helping with will-call orders or doing warehouse maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the past 4 years

* No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years

* No more than 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years

* No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years

* No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for Failure to pay child support

* No DUI in the last 7 years

Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
